This recent Bowen project resulted in a dramatic improvement
in efficiency and profit because of much shorter "furnace
batch" cycle time. The system involved two individual
heat exchangers linked by "Therminol" heat transfer
fluid.
One exchanger was inside the furnace to absorb
the heat, with high-temperature furnace air directed through
the exchanger by an externally-driven fan.
A pump circulated the Therminol to the second unit outside the furnace,
with heat from there dissipated to the stack by an associated fan.
